Bill Belichick really, really, really likes the Lions offense

ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions had minus-3 yards in the first quarter of their season opener, then were accused after the game of tipping their plays. Their starting running back was held to four carries that week because of a shoulder injury, then eight last week because he was tossed for coming off the bench to fight in the middle of a fourth-quarter comeback.

Their quarterback has five turnovers, a league high. He's 27th in passer rating. He's 32nd on the deep ball. Just one season after ranking second.

Their first-round pick has allowed more pressures than anyone in the game.
