Big Sean will perform Lions' Thanksgiving halftime show

Halftime at the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving game against Philadelphia will have a big-time feel from a close-to-home act.

Rapper Big Sean, who grew up in Detroit, announced on his Instagram account Sunday that he will be performing at halftime of the annual Thanksgiving game on Nov. 26.

Big Sean, who was born Sean Anderson, graduated from Cass Tech – a school that happens to be the most prominent football school in the city. Big Sean has been nominated for three Billboard Music Awards in his career along with two Grammy nominations for “Mercy,” with Kanye West, Pusha T and 2 Chainz.
