It seems every year, tensions are high following the NFL Draft. Rarely will your favorite team make a selection of picks that is universally praised. We trick ourselves into falling in love with a handful of prospects, only to be disappointed when the Detroit Lions pass over “our guy.”
But now comes the next stage in drafting grief: Acceptance. This, too, is a yearly occurrence. We either accept that everything we knew before the draft was bupkis, or we convince ourselves that the Lions know what they’re doing and we should just trust the process.
