Ask Nate, NFL Draft edition: Where do the Lions strike for a No. 2 corner?

Free agency isn't even here yet, and we're talking about the NFL Draft. That's the nature of the beast in the NFL, but it isn't just wild fantasy.

Draft evaluations influence free agency as much as the reverse. Last year, Lions general manager Bob Quinn said the weak offensive line draft class played a role in the $9.5 million annual salaries he paid to get Rick Wagner and TJ Lang on the right side of his line.

Similar events could play out again this year. What those are are a mystery, but we're here to make rationalizations of it anyway.
