Ask Kyle: Thoughts on Eric Ebron, and what exactly the Lions do without him

ALLEN PARK -- The phone lines have been open for more than a week, and free agency nearly so. The Lions have seen some players come through, too, and others go.

Eric Ebron, of course, was one of them. Detroit axed him an hour before free agency officially opened, which maybe shouldn't haven't been a surprise given how badly they wanted to trade him the last few months.

But the move does leave a gaping hole in their offense. And with apologies to Hakeem Valles and Brandon Barnes, who were on the practice squad last year, Michael Roberts is the only notable tight end left.
