The Queen of Soul will kick off the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving game.
The Lions announced today that Motown artist Aretha Franklin will sing the national anthem before their Thanksgiving game against the Minnesota Vikings, and that pop star Andy Grammer will perform at halftime.
Franklin is an 18-time Grammy Award winner, while Grammer's hits include "Keep Your Head Up” and "Honey I'm Good."
Last year, Detroit rap artist Big Sean performed at halftime.
Lions cornerback Darius Slay also will be featured in a video tribute before the game. Slay is providing Thanksgiving meals to 23 single-parent homes through his foundation this year.
