ALLEN PARK -- She sang for presidents. She played Super Bowls. There was little Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, didn't do before her death Thursday at age 76.
And that includes belting out one of the most unique renditions of the national anthems before Detroit's annual Thanksgiving game against Minnesota back in 2016.
The anthem drew mixed reviews for its length, clocking in at about 4 minutes, 30 seconds. But there was no denying its singular beauty either. Nobody sang like Aretha.
Long live the Queen.
