BALTIMORE -- Tion Green was the last player on the Detroit Lions' initial 53-man roster to not appear in a game this season. And it was killing him.
He knew he was getting better. He knew he was ready for his shot. Yet he was deactivated the first 11 games of the season, and forced to watch from the sideline as the running game sunk to the bottom five in the league.
"I'm just trying not to stress myself out," he said. "Like, if this is what my role is, to be a cheerleader, a supporter, to tape these guys' shoulder pads every day and before games, (shoot), I'll take full advantage of it and do it with pride.
