Ameer Abdullah didn't have the bounce-back season that he and many others were expecting in 2017. He struggled to find consistency in the running game, ceded passing snaps to the more established Theo Riddick and found himself benched late in the season for an undrafted rookie in Tion Green.
Abdullah is also rarely one to hide how he feels about his place on a team and his potential in it. Friday offered another example when the fourth-year Lions running back appeared on Michael Rapaport's I am Rapaport Stereo Podcast. In a lengthy interview, Abdullah opened up about plenty of topics, including how the up-and-down nature of last season wore on him mentally.
