Willie Young played one season for Mel Tucker with the Chicago Bears and set a career-high in sacks.
And while the Bears defense that season (2014) ranked among the worst in the NFL in several major statistical categories, Young, the former Detroit Lions defensive end, said he walked away from that experience a believer in Tucker, the new Michigan State football head coach.
“Mel gave me a different perspective on the game, a different angle on the game,” Young told the Free Press on Wednesday.
