ALLEN PARK -- After resting last week, the Detroit Lions return to the practice field Wednesday to ramp up work for Sunday's game in Miami against the Dolphins. Here are five things to watch this week:

The running game flashes some power: Kerryon Johnson has received a lot of attention for his exploits in the backfield, and rightfully so. He's averaging the fourth most yards per carry this season (5.7), and that's impressive. It's the single biggest reason Detroit's running game is finally earning some respect again. But the running game isn't always about raw yardage, but also a team's ability to pick up short-yardage situations.
