The Detroit Lions’ performance against the Indianapolis Colts was sloppy, to put nicely. Unfortunately, that sloppiness impacted every phase of the game: offense, defense, and special teams.
It’s always hard to hand out a game ball during a loss, but this week feels especially tough, and not just because of the blowout score. A lot of the players who made positive impacts on this game also made huge mistakes that ended up costing the team.
For example, let’s look at Danny Shelton. The Lions veteran defensive tackle was the highest-graded Lions defender on Sunday per PFF.
