With the latest loss to the Chicago Bears, even the most optimistic Detroit Lions fans are starting to turn their focus to 2020. The Lions are 3-5-1, well behind the 8-2 Green Bay Packers and 7-3 Minnesota Vikings. They’re 0-3 in divisional play and only three teams in the NFC have fewer wins.
And while I absolutely hate draft talk in November, it’s time to face reality. The Lions are not making the playoffs this year, which means it’s time to start thinking about where they will be picking in April’s 2020 NFL Draft.
