The first day of the 2015 NFL Draft is in the books and the Lions walked away two draft picks and two interior offensive linemen richer. Securing the top ranked guard in this class and strengthening their interior line is great, though I’m sure some will be disappointed the team didn’t go elsewhere.
With Malcom Brown, Eddie Goldman, La’El Collins, and other top tier targets still on the board, even a pick like Laken Tomlinson will leave some disappointed. So let’s take a look at some surprises from the first round, as well as some that might be waiting for us tonight when round 2 kicks off!
