The Detroit Lions are getting close to crunch time when it comes to making a decision on free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. If the team can't come to terms with Suh on a long-term deal or they don't franchise tag him at an exhorbitant rate, they will likely look to free agency to address their needs on the defensive line.
If so, ESPN's Michael Rothstein believes the team could make a play for Denver Broncos DT Terrance Knighton:
If Suh departs, Detroit has a lot of money to make some big moves and it wouldn’t shock me if the Lions went after a high-profile defensive tackle like Terrance Knighton from Denver. He would help to fill the void left by Suh, especially if the Lions were able to pair him with a highly rated rookie or another free-agent signing.
While there's no adequate way to replace a beast like Ndamukong Suh, inking a breakout talent like Knighton would be a good way to ease some of the impact of the loss.
