In tonight's edition of Lions rumors, the Detroit Lions may be looking to move up a few spots in the 2014 NFL Draft in order to draft former Texas A&M wide receiver Mike Evans.
So says ESPN's Mark Clayton, who believes that "if the price isn't too expensive, the Detroit Lions would like to move up a few spots to draft wide receiver Mike Evans."
Having the celebrated Evans as a complement to superstar wide receiver Calvin Johnson would be an immense luxury for both quarterback Matthew Stafford and the entire Detroit Lions offense.
However, Clayton cautions that "trading up in a draft this rich costs too much if teams are giving up second-, third- and fourth-round choices, because players picked at those spots could be potential starters."
The Lions may not be willing to give up a monster package just to acquire Evans, so consider them on the fence when it comes to pulling off a draft-day trade in order to acquire his services.
