The Lions got more than they expected against the last place Vikings, as Detroit had to overcome a 14 point deficit to sneak out their 10th win of the season.
With a second half shutout - thanks in part to two missed field goals by Blair Walsh - Detroit drew a step closer to clinching a playoff spot, as they sit at 10-4 on the year.
Turning Point: Detroit took their first lead of the game with a Matt Prater field goal with four minutes to go in the game. Up 16-14, that put the pressure on the Lions defense to come up with a stop to secure the win.
They did just that, forcing a turnover on downs by the Vikings, completing their win with 16 unanswered points.
Key Stat: Calvin Johnson finished with just 53 yards receiving - his lowest output in a full game this season. He had previously recorded 304 yards and three touchdowns in his last two games.
Lions MVP: Joique Bell - 14 carries, 61 yards, four catches, 41 yards.
The Lions had a difficult time getting things going offensively, but Bell was involved enough to lead Detroit with 102 total yards on the day with Reggie Bush limited.
Vikings MVP: Teddy Bridgewater - 31/41, 315 yards and one touchdown
Bridgewater did turn the ball over twice, but he threw just 10 incompletions on the day and led a pair of touchdown drives for Minnesota against a tough Lions defense.
What's Next?
The Lions travel to Chicago next week, while the Vikings head to Miami to face the Dolphins.
