DePaul men’s basketball picks up transfer point guard Austin Grandstaff

DePaul men’s basketball picked up an unexpected transfer on Monday when it was reported that freshman point guard Austin Grandstaff would make the move to DePaul.

Grandstaff has had an inconsistent route to DePaul. He originally signed with Ohio State as a freshman in 2015-16 and played ten games for the Buckeyes, averaging 4.4 points a game. After ten games, however, he announced his transfer to Oklahoma. He left the Sooners in May, however, and committed to DePaul.

He is a 6’4″ point guard that was rated by Scout as the 15th best point guard in the nation, and 60th best overall player in the nation.
