DePaul men’s basketball landed their first 2018 recruit when they received a verbal pledge from shooting guard John Diener.

Diener is 6’4″ and 195 pounds, according to Hudl.com. He is the younger cousin of former DePaul player Drake Diener, and cousin of current Marquette assistant Travis Diener. He just finished his sophomore season with Cedarburg in Wisconsin. According to 247sports.com, Diener also had offers from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
