The Denver Nuggets got the win, Nikola Jokic produced a perfect triple-double and yet everyone’s minds veered toward the health of locker room leader Will Barton Saturday night.
Barton, who suffered a right hip injury in the third quarter and didn’t return, was the last man in the locker room, slowly getting dressed before he voluntarily faced the media.
“It was on the layup,” Barton said. “Once I powered the jump, I just felt something awkward.”
Barton said he felt a pop in his right hip. “It was on the jump as I was going into the air I felt it.
