We have gotten little information on Michael Porter Jr. throughout his recovery, outside of the fact that he will play summer league in a leg brace, and the occasional clips of MPJ droppin’ buckets on Nuggets staffers. Matching up against some of the top players from the 2018 and 2019 draft classes will finally give us a chance to evaluate Porter against some real NBA talent.
Summer league as a whole is of course not a representation of NBA level competition, but the young players who have developed into stars (and even just solid scorers) have usually performed well in these games.
