The Nuggets have tentatively agreed on a deal to trade point guard Ty Lawson to the Houston Rockets, according to a league source.
The Nuggets are expected to get a first round pick in return as well as Kostas Papanikolaou, Pablo Prigioni, Joey Dorsey and Nick Johnson.
The Rockets were identified as a team that would be interested in taking on Lawson because of a need at point guard. The Nuggets have three other point guards on the roster, and this will make 2015 first round draft pick Emmanuel Mudiay the starter.
It ends a tumulutous time for Lawson in Denver.
