Ty Lawson, the former Nuggets point guard who now plays for the Sacramento Kings, appeared in a Denver court on Thursday and denied allegations he violated his probation after pleading guilty in 2015 to driving while his ability was impaired.
The 29-year-old, through his attorney, Harvey Steinberg, asked that he be monitored by an alcohol testing device in the time before his next court hearing in six weeks.
“We want to get on that (device) so Mr. Lawson can prove” he’s not using alcohol, Steinberg told the court.
