As Trey Lyles traversed the country in the months leading up to the 2015 NBA draft, there was something that stuck out about his trip to the Rocky Mountains.
“When I worked out for the Nuggets, Denver was one of my favorite cities I visited,” Lyles said. “It was a city and a team that I was looking forward to hopefully getting a chance to play for.”
Lyles has that chance now after a trade during Thursday’s NBA draft that brought the 6-foot-10 forward to Denver from the Utah Jazz, a deal that included a swap of first-round picks.
