The Denver Nuggets topped the Memphis Grizzlies 104-92 Friday night, a contest highlighted by another masterful performance from standout center Nikola Jokic.
Here are seven other takeaways from Denver’s victory:
1. The young guns. Jokic obviously anchored the Nuggets down the stretch. But coach Michael Malone also praised the poise of his entire lineup that started that decisive fourth quarter — Jokic, Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, Juancho Hernangomez and Trey Lyles. That young group helped Denver begin the period on a 19-7 run to regain control. Hernangomez capped the spurt with a 3-pointer.
“To win a game like that for them, what a great experience,” Malone said.
