Instead, a sprained left knee suffered late in Wednesday night’s scrimmage derailed all the positive momentum that built up over the last few weeks and, really, the last few months. In all likelihood, the rookie will not be able to play in the Las Vegas Summer League.
Last year’s first-round pick was supposed to be Denver’s headliner and one of the more intriguing prospects expected to play in Las Vegas (non-Zion division). Needless to say, the tenor changed for the Nuggets leading into Friday’s first game.
