The last time the Nuggets lost ten days ago, Nuggets coach Michael Malone had a premonition.
They were coming off a grueling road trip, having only won one game, and yet Malone felt something brewing.
“I said it to our team in the locker room in Philly,” Malone said ahead of Friday night’s 109-100 win over Minnesota, the Nuggets’ fifth win in a row.
Nikola Jokic’s fifth triple-double of the season combined with Jamal Murray’s 28 points helped stave off a Timberwolves team that dropped its ninth consecutive game. Meanwhile, the Nuggets improved to 19-8 on the year.
