Back in 2003, Steve Kerr created what he believed was “the perfect shooter” in a column for Yahoo! Sports. This week, The New York Times revisited the topic with the Warriors coach.
Kerr told the Times that the “roboshooter” he created back then would have some updates in the modern game, adding ball-handling and an ability to create one’s own shot to the repertoire — like his star point guard Stephen Curry. He looked to a Nuggets guard when asked about today’s best shooters.
“Jamal Murray is on his way to becoming one of those guys,” Kerr said.
