Before a few days ago, Wilson Chandler would have had a tough time recalling the last time he cried. But tears welled up in his eyes when he realized his season, this season, was over before it ever began.
"In the past when I've had surgery I've been down, but never got teary eyes like this," said Chandler on Thursday, one day after the Nuggets made it known the veteran forward needs season-ending surgery to repair a labral tear. "It's like 'Man, it's always something.' Definitely heartbreaking, especially after the summer I've had."
Chandler spent the summer working on his game and his body.
