Nuggets coach Michael Malone has a complex decision to make regarding his starting small forward, and neither Will Barton nor Torrey Craig, Denver’s two best options, have distinguished themselves thus far.
“You guys watch us, you see the stats,” Malone said prior to Thursday’s win over Portland. “You can’t look at anything and say one guy has run away with it. Guys have made some cases, but we’re going to use tonight and the upcoming practices to make that final decision.”
Following Thursday’s preseason finale, Malone crystallized his criteria.
“It’s all complementary,” Malone said.
