The Denver Nuggets will sign guard Davon Reed to another 10-day hardship exception on Thursday, two league sources told The Denver Post.
It’s Reed’s third such deal with the team. The Post first reported on Tuesday the team’s intentions to keep Reed beyond his second deal, which expired after Tuesday’s win over Golden State.
Reed, a 6-foot-5 guard, played 18 minutes in the win over the Warriors after playing 26 in Sunday’s win over the Clippers. He’s been a bright spot for a Nuggets backcourt that’s been depleted by injuries.
By signing the deal Thursday, another game day, the Nuggets are maximizing his time with the team as opposed to signing him on an off day.
