Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic was nothing if not honest in the wake of his fourth consecutive underwhelming offensive performance.
“Right now, I’m struggling,” Jokic said after he was badly outplayed by Lakers center Anthony Davis in Tuesday’s 105-96 loss. “The coach is a smart guy. He’s not gonna give the guy the ball who’s not making the shot.”
Jokic finished with 13 points on 4-of-12 shooting with 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 turnovers. Over his previous three games, he’d scored a total of 23 points.
His fourth quarter on Tuesday night – 2 for 7 from the field for 6 points – couldn’t salvage what had been another curious game from last year’s first-team All-NBA center.
