The Denver Nuggets officially signed rookie swingman Vlatko Cancar to a multiyear contract, the team announced on Friday afternoon.
A league source told The Denver Post that Cancar was signed to a 3-year deal with a team option on the final year.
The Denver Post first reported the Nuggets’ intentions of signing the 22-year-old Slovenian forward on July 13.
Cancar, the 49th pick in the 2017 draft, played last season for San Pablo Burgos in the Spanish ACB League where he averaged 10 points per game and 3.7 rebounds. He most recently played on the Nuggets’ Las Vegas Summer League team, averaging 8.
