Take it from the lifeblood of the Nuggets defense: Michael Porter Jr. can be a terror on the defensive end of the floor.
Paul Millsap has been the backbone of the Nuggets’ frontcourt ever since he signed with Denver in the summer of 2017. His spatial awareness and conceptual understanding have made him an above-average defender even as his athleticism has declined. Porter has the tools to be a menace on defense, he said.
“He’s doing great, he’s trying,” Millsap said. “He can be a really talented, really good defensive player once he puts his mind to it and gets the concept.
