When you consider the inconsistencies, the frustrating losses and the recent injuries, the Nuggets are in an enviable position nearing the midway point of the regular season.
At 27-12, Denver is tied with Utah for No. 2 in the Western Conference and firmly entrenched in the race for homecourt advantage. The Nuggets have done this despite a defense that’s fallen off a cliff since Christmas (29th in the NBA) and an offense that’s simultaneously surged. In other words, there’s ample room for growth.
