Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. didn’t practice on Sunday after missing two consecutive games with a left heel contusion. Nuggets coach Michael Malone made it sound like a third consecutive absence was on the way.
Porter last played in Tuesday’s loss to the Pistons, but Malone said that’s not where the injury occurred.
“Something that’s kind of been building,” said Malone, who deemed Porter Jr. unlikely for Monday’s game against the Rockets.
“… Right now it’s just real painful for Michael, so he’ll come back and he’ll play when he feels like he’s able to go out there and do his job effectively,” Malone added.
