Nuggets’ Michael Porter Jr. out vs. Lakers due to lumbar management, source confirms

Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. will miss Wednesday night’s game against the Lakers, a league source confirmed to The Denver Post.

Porter was listed as questionable heading into the contest due to lumbar spine injury management. After playing in all five preseason games and the first four regular season games, it’s the first game he’ll miss since missing most of last season following his third back surgery.

Porter played 26 minutes in Monday night’s blowout loss to Portland, but appeared hampered in the second half and wasn’t moving as fluidly as he had been. Porter was 5-of-10 for 12 points over the first two quarters but managed just six points in the second half.
