Nuggets Journal: How the years-long TV dispute has stunted a fanbase

When the Nuggets were in Washington, D.C., last week, there were a disproportionate amount of Denver fans dotting Capital One Arena.

Dozens of fans wore variations of Nikola Jokic jerseys while a handful of others made signs for Denver’s infectious rookie Bones Hyland. As Jokic dissected the Wizards with 29 points on only 14 shots, a chorus of “MVP” chants broke out.

And then you remember, it’s nearly as easy to follow the Nuggets in Washington, D.C., as it is in the city they call home, where a protracted carriage dispute has kept games off major broadcast distributors Comcast and Dish Network for nearly three years.
