No one has their finger on the pulse of the Denver Nuggets like coach Michael Malone.
So despite their 21-9 record heading into the weekend, good for second in the daunting Western Conference, it shouldn’t be dismissed when he says he doesn’t think they’re playing that well.
“We can still play so much better,” Malone said Friday ahead of a back-to-back games against Memphis and Sacramento. “That’s the scary thing about it. I think we can be scary good because at the record that we have, I don’t even think we’re playing that great.”
It’s far better to be sitting pretty and not “playing that great” than the alternative.
