Denver Nuggets’ guard Jamal Murray was voted to the All-Rookie Second Team, the league announced Monday.
Murray, 20, averaged 9.9 points on 40.4 percent shooting from the field and 33.4 percent from three, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 82 games (9 starts) for the Nuggets this season. The Kitchener, Ontario native registered seven games of 20+ points.
Sacramento guard Buddy Hield edged out Murray by 29 first-place votes.
After averaging just 19.9 minutes per game prior to February’s All-Star break, Murray saw his playing time increase as the season wore on as the 6-foot-4 guard averaged 12.
