The Denver Nuggets have hired Calvin Booth as assistant general manager and Bob Weiss as an assistant coach, President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly announced Wednesday.
Booth, 41, was the Director of Pro Personnel for the Minnesota Timberwolves last season and spent the last four years in the organization’s front office. Before joining Minnesota, Booth was a scout for the New Orleans Pelicans in 2012-13.
Booth and Connelly are familiar with each other, as Connelly was the Pelicans’ assistant GM when Booth scouted for New Orleans. Connelly was also working in the Washington Wizards’ front office in Booth’s two stints as a player for the team, from 1999-2001 and 2005-07.
