NEW ORLEANS – For the second game in a row, the Nuggets turned to Nikola Jokic in the clutch, and he delivered.
Jokic already had his 24th career triple-double in hand, but the Pelicans, despite being besieged by injuries, wouldn’t quit.
It was a one-point game with 1:22 remaining when Gary Harris passed to Jokic in the post on three consecutive feeds, insistent that the Nuggets’ best player have the ball in his hands.
“He has to get a touch,” said Harris after the Nuggets’ 105-99 win over the Pelicans. “We don’t care what the play is.
