Boban Marjanovic got another feed from Lou Williams and slammed the ball over Nikola Jokic to give the Clippers a seven-point lead with 3:15 to go.
On a Tuesday night in which standout forward Paul Millap returned from a three-month absence due to wrist surgery as the Nuggets and Clippers fought for playoff positioning, the 7-foot-3 Marjanovic’s 18 points stole the show in a 122-120 Clippers victory at the Pepsi Center.
The defeat dampened Denver’s (33-28) playoff chances and also guaranteed a regular-season series loss to the Clippers. The Clippers (32-27) lead 2-0 with one game remaining between the two teams on April 7 in Los Angeles.
