Nuggets fall apart in fourth quarter to Bucks, suffer sixth loss in seven games

MILWAUKEE – If the Nuggets are to ever reach their lofty expectations, losses like Monday’s can’t happen.

The Nuggets conceded a barrage of 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter and fell 104-98 to Milwaukee, dropping their record to 10-7. It was their sixth loss in seven games and hurts because of the double-digit lead that didn’t hold in the second half. Milwaukee outscored Denver by 16 in the second half.

Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe hit two 3-pointers and Brook Lopez drained one from the wing, but it was Giannis Antetokounmpo’s late alley-oop that hurt the most. Bledsoe curled and lobbed a high-arching pass that Antetokounmpo slammed home to give the Bucks an eight-point lead with just over two minutes left.
