Nuggets president of basketball operations Tim Connelly and new GM Calvin Booth denied there was any rift between the organization and veteran small forward Will Barton, who left the bubble to rehab his injured knee early in the postseason.
“No, not at all,” Booth said. “I think he left the bubble to get the best care he possibly could for his injury. He wasn’t anywhere close to playing at the time he left the bubble. We all thought it was the right decision.”
Barton left the bubble Aug. 19 at the very start of the postseason.
