The Denver Nuggets are converting former two-way guard P.J. Dozier to a standard, multiyear deal, two league sources told The Denver Post.
Because of the unprecedented format of the league’s commencement in Orlando next month, two-way players would’ve been eligible to play as insurance. But Dozier’s deal fills the Nuggets’ final roster spot, leaving vacant one two-way spot that Denver could fill before leaving for Orlando.
The Nuggets are intent on adding one more player for insurance, even after converting Dozier’s deal, according to a league source. What that roster construct looks like is unclear.
