Nuggets coach Michael Malone carved time out with his team on Thursday morning to take the temperature of the season. He talked about things that are working, things that aren’t working and accepted blame for the team’s sluggish 7-11 start.
“I’m the head coach,” Malone said. “At the end of the day, how our team goes out there and performs, I take that responsibility.”
The Nuggets’ issues are many. At times they’ve had problems with energy at the start of games, execution at the end of games, stagnant offense, leaky defense and far too many turnovers. Yes, the players take some responsibility for the play on the court.
