There was no telling whether Nuggets coach Michael Malone was serious when he suggested his team was “cursed” in the aftermath of yet another injury Monday night.
On Wednesday, Malone said he wasn’t expecting guard P.J. Dozier “back any time soon” as his team makes its final push ahead of the postseason. With a strained right adductor suffered in the fourth quarter against Los Angeles, Dozier joined the ranks of injured Denver guards Jamal Murray (ACL), Monte Morris (hamstring) and Will Barton (hamstring).
“It was a pretty significant injury,” Malone said.
As for the rash of injuries, it’s no surprise Malone feels like the team is snake-bitten.
