HOUSTON — Nuggets forwards Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler worked off to the side Monday as their team prepared to face the Rockets for the second time in three nights without them.
Denver could certainly use two of its leading scorers as it heads down the stretch of a playoff chase that is tightening by the day, and coach Michael Malone said he is “hopeful” the two veterans will be back in the lineup when the Nuggets host defending champion Cleveland on Wednesday.
Gallinari is nursing a bone bruise on his left knee and missed his third consecutive game.
