Nuggets coach Michael Malone said he expects forward Michael Porter Jr. to be available for Friday’s game against Utah after missing his first game of the season Wednesday night against the Lakers.
Heading into Wednesday’s game, Porter was listed on the injury report as questionable due to lumbar spine management. Following Denver’s convincing 110-99 win over the Lakers, Malone said Porter had experienced a “back spasm” against Portland, and the decision to hold him out was somewhat precautionary.
“Had a little bit of a back spasm in that Portland game, but he’s been getting treatment,” Malone said.
